Tata Tiago has officially launched in India with prices starting at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors has given its popular hatchback a fresh update with revised styling, a more premium interior and several new technology features.
The updated Tiago now looks sharper than before, thanks to redesigned front styling. Tata has added new LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights along with a revised grille and updated bumper design. The front profile now appears more modern and closely follows Tata’s latest design language seen on newer models.
The side profile remains familiar, but the hatchback now gets newly designed alloy wheels and refreshed colour choices. At the rear, Tata has updated the tail lamp detailing and bumper styling to give the car a sportier appearance.
Inside the cabin, the biggest change is the completely refreshed dashboard layout. The new Tiago gets a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Tata has also updated the steering wheel and instrument cluster design to improve the overall cabin experience.
The dashboard now carries a cleaner layout with improved materials and a more premium finish compared to the outgoing model. Higher variants additionally get features like automatic climate control, connected car technology and rear parking camera support.
One of the most interesting additions is the inclusion of paddle shifters in the AMT version, making the Tiago one of the most affordable cars in India to offer this feature.
Safety has also been improved in the facelifted model. Depending on the variant, buyers can get six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Under the hood, the hatchback continues with the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine. It produces around 85 bhp and comes paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT automatic transmission.
Tata Motors is also continuing with the Tiago CNG lineup. The CNG version remains available with both manual and AMT gearbox options, giving buyers more flexibility in the budget hatchback segment.
The updated Tiago is available in multiple trims, including Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Creative+ variants. Prices for the top-end versions go above Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).
With fresher styling, upgraded features and improved safety equipment, the new Tata Tiago facelift aims to continue its strong position in India’s affordable hatchback market.
