Tata Motors has now shared the first look at the updated cabin of the electric hatchback. Tata Tiago EV will officially launch in India on May 28, 2026. The new model brings a more premium interior layout, updated technology, and a few important expected upgrades under the skin as well.

The facelifted Tiago EV not only gets a more modern cabin layout but is also expected to arrive with a larger battery pack, improved range, and several additional features.

The biggest talking point of the new Tiago EV is its redesigned dashboard. Tata Motors has introduced a fresh dual-screen setup featuring a larger floating touchscreen infotainment system and a separate fully digital driver display. Compared to the older version, the new cabin looks much cleaner, more premium, and technology-focused.

The infotainment unit shown in the official image appears to support wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity. The digital instrument cluster now displays battery percentage, range, speed, outside temperature, and other driving information in a more modern, easy-to-read layout.

Tata’s latest design direction has already been seen on newer models. It now gets a horizontal layered design finished in dual-tone black and grey shades. A soft-touch or fabric-like material stretches across the dashboard, helping the cabin feel more premium than the outgoing Tiago EV.

With improved features, a more premium interior, and the possibility of a larger battery pack, the new Tiago EV could become an even stronger option in India’s affordable electric car market.

Apart from interior changes, the exterior design is also expected to receive noticeable updates. Spy shots and teaser images indicate that the hatchback will feature sharper LED headlamps, redesigned bumpers, updated alloy wheels, and connected-style rear lighting elements. Blacked-out styling details may also replace some chrome accents to give the car a sportier appearance

If introduced, the larger battery is expected to improve the claimed driving range significantly, making the Tiago EV more practical for longer journeys and daily city use alike. The updated hatchback may also receive Tata’s advanced 6-in-1 iDrive motor technology already available in the Punch EV.

The facelifted Tiago EV is likely to see a slight price increase over the outgoing version due to the added features and battery upgrades. Tata Tiago EV facelift looks set to strengthen Tata Motors’ position in India’s affordable electric car market.
