Honda City has received a fresh update in India with revised styling, new features and an updated colour lineup. Honda has also made some changes to the variant-wise availability, giving buyers more options in the premium sedan segment.
Honda City facelift is the introduction of a new Crystal Black Pearl paint shade model. The new black colour replaces the older Golden Brown Metallic option and gives the sedan a cleaner and more premium look on the road.
Honda is now offering the updated City in six colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Pearl, Obsidian Blue, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Lunar Silver Metallic.
The entry-level SV variant does not get all colour choices. It misses out on shades like Radiant Red Metallic and Meteoroid Grey Metallic. However, the higher V, ZX and ZX+ variants are available with all six paint options.
The strong hybrid Honda City e: HEV continues to be sold only in the top-spec ZX+ variant. Buyers of the hybrid version can also choose from all six colour options.
Along with the updated colours, Honda has slightly refreshed the exterior design of the City. The sedan now gets a revised front grille, sharper LED headlamps and a redesigned bumper that gives the front profile a sportier appearance. The updated styling changes are subtle but help the sedan look more modern than before.
The sedan continues to offer a spacious cabin and comfortable rear-seat experience, which has always been one of the biggest strengths of the Honda City in India.
Inside the cabin, the City facelift now feels more feature-loaded. Honda has added a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Higher variants also get ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera and connected car features.
Safety equipment has also been improved. The updated City gets six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitoring and Honda Sensing ADAS features on higher trims. These advanced driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and collision mitigation support.
Under the hood, the standard Honda City continues with the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 121 PS and comes paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission.
The City e: HEV hybrid model combines a petrol engine with an electric motor setup and delivers excellent fuel efficiency. Honda claims the hybrid sedan can return mileage figures of over 27 kmpl, making it one of the most fuel-efficient premium sedans currently on sale in India.
With fresh colours, better features and updated styling, the new Honda City facelift aims to remain one of the strongest options for buyers looking for a comfortable, premium and fuel-efficient sedan in India.
Honda is offering the 2026 City facelift in four main variants — SV, ZX, V and ZX+. Prices for the updated sedan start from around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
